Knife Description:
This blade is stainless cladded Damascus core San mai with brut de forge flats. I did a slightly deeper etch on this piece to not only bring out the contrast in the Damascus, but also to display the natural alloy banding in the stainless steel and the carbon migration that happens in the forging process. I then did a high-polish finish on top of that to clearly display all that beautiful activity. All of the fittings are matte deep bronze blued 416 stainless steel, and have been meticulously fit with curving transitions to the gorgeous black dyed curly maple. The sub-hilt guard construction provides a secure and comfortable grip while also making for a strikingly unique handle.
