Feathered Twist Damascus Utility Hunter
This Utility Hunter is not just a display knife, but an extremely functional tool built to perform and last generations with proper care. It is the only one of its kind, and is crafted for those who value a thoughtfully made cutting tool as well as a handmade piece of art. The fine edge sports a convex geometry, which delivers smooth, precise cuts while keeping plenty of strength.
Using a blend of two beautiful patterns, twist and feather, I forged a new experimental pattern that did not disappoint. The high-contrast, mirror polished, and hard-wax coated finish displays the fine lines of the pattern in intense detail.
The handle features an antiqued brass guard, pin, and rivet heads. I meticulously sculpted two tiny brass feathers to act as the heads of the pin, and also add some flair and texture to the highly polished, two-tone Mexican Kingwood handle. I carved flowing facets into the wood provide the handle with a smooth and ergonomic feel with excellent indexing.
Blade steel: 1084/15N20 high carbon steels
Blade length: 4.0625”
Overall length: 9.375”
Handle material: Mexican Kingwood
Fitting material: Antiqued Brass
Sheath: Vertical-carry tooled leather, right-handed
This is a high-carbon steel blade and requires the appropriate care, see my care instructions page to read more about how to maintain your blade.
