Copper Damascus Rope-Ground Chef's knife

$2,300.00

Blade Length: 9”

Overall Length: 15”

Heel Height: 2.25”

Blade Steel: 1084 with Exposed Copper Layers

Grind: Twisted Rope S-Grind, Convex Edge

Handle Material: Stabilized Dyed Maple Burl, Aluminum Bronze

This chef and specifically the unique grind has been an idea I have wanted to bring to life for years. The s-grind has benefits including food-release, less resistance when cutting, strategic weight reduction, and of course an added display of craftsmanship and precision aesthetics. This knife sports an artistic and new version of the luxurious grind, which was hand sculpted to resemble a coiled rope. This knife is built with performance and comfortability in mind, featuring a convex grind terminating in a laser-thin cutting edge.

The 9” blade is forged from 1084 High-carbon steel precision heat-treated to 63 HRC with four layers of pure copper. The satin black etch on the steel contrasts beautifully with the stark flowing copper layers which gives the blade a minimalist but bold presentation.

The handle begins with an antiqued aluminum bronze bolster which is heirloom-fit to a carefully sculpted and polished maple burl handle. It is secured with an internal tang nut and is capped off with a polished flush-inlayed bronze cap. The grip is secure and easily indexed, blending bold facets and smooth contours.
