‘Nexus’ Integral Bowie
This wonderfully unique Bowie combines a wavy, organic feather pattern with an aggressive and repetitive twisted mosaic edge bar at a perfectly forged junction. The guard and blade are forged as one integral piece, allowing the mirror polished feather Damascus pattern to pass seamlessly through them. The texturized ironwood handle follows the natural flow of the guard and blade, but has risers sculpted to stand out from the continuous plane and provide a secure grip. Finally, the brass pin was peened into brass diamond washers and sculpted as one before being patinated.
This piece feels comfortable and light in the hand, and displays unique sculpting and flow that adds a tasteful complexity to the simple construction.
Steel: 1084/15N20 Feather Damascus and twisted mosaic edge bar
